Tyler is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and Environmental Science. He currently works for Civil and Environmental Consultants Inc. in Columbus, Ohio as a Staff Scientist, where he conducts wetland and stream assessments, delineations, and mitigation; permitting, reports, endangered species surveys including bats and stream surveys for real estate and oil and gas markets. He also coordinates with federal, state, and local agencies such as Ohio EPA, EPA, ODNR, USFWS, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
On campus, he was involved in Zoology Club, Primatology Club, Wildlife Society Club, and Miami University Eagle Scout Association and he was a part of the local Pheasants Forever chapter. He wrote for Miami University's student-led environmental publication: GreenHawks Media, where he helped write weekly blogs about conservation and the environment. An Eagle Scout who loves the outdoors, boating and photography, he is now aspiring and working to be a Certified Professional Wetland Scientist through the Society of Wetland Scientists as well as continue to work in the field of fish and wildlife management, conservation, or environmental science.
