Pataki includes climate in elevator pitch
Addressing a crowd at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, former New York Gov. George Pataki, who trails near the end of the pack of 15 candidates still in the race for the Republican nomination, affirmed his views on science.
"My party has to embrace science," Pataki said. "We can't be the party who, in the 21st century, doubts vaccines, doubting evolution or denies the fact that human activity is emitting CO2 in the atmosphere and that CO2 is warming the earth."
Last month, Pataki declared in an interview that he wants to shout his support for climate change "from the rooftops." He includes mention of climate change in his campaign elevator pitch.
"I'll embrace science to tackle climate change, while encouraging natural gas, solar and nuclear technologies," Pataki routinely says when ticking through his position on a variety of hot button issues.
